It was a bit crumpled. I straightened it a bit. \u00a0It was written in German. I started reading.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Die zwei W\u00f6lfe<\/p>\n<p>Eines \u00a0Abends erz\u00e4hlte ein alter<\/p>\n<p>Cheroke-Indianer seinem Enkelsohn von<\/p>\n<p>einem Kampf, der in jeder Mensh tobt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Er sagte: \u201eMein Sohn, der Kampf<\/p>\n<p>wird von zwei W\u00f6lfen ausgefochten<\/p>\n<p>die in jedem von uns wohnen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Einer ist b\u00f6se.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Er ist der Zorn, der Neid, die Eifersucht,<\/p>\n<p>die Sorgen, der Schmerz, die Gier,<\/p>\n<p>die Arroganz, das Selbstmitleid, die Schuld,<\/p>\n<p>die Vorurteile, die Minderwertigkeitsgef\u00fchle,<\/p>\n<p>die L\u00fcgen, der falsche Stolz und das Ego.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Der ander is gut.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Er ist die Freude, der Friede, die Liebe,<\/p>\n<p>die Hoffnung, die Heiterkeit, die Demut,<\/p>\n<p>die G\u00fcte, das Wohlwollen, die Zuneigung,<\/p>\n<p>die Gro\u00df\u00fcgigkeit, die Aufrichtigkeit,<\/p>\n<p>das Mitgef\u00fchl und der Glaube\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Der Enkel dachte einige Zeit \u00fcber die Worte<\/p>\n<p>seines Gro\u00dfvaters nach und fragte dann:<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWelcher der beiden W\u00f6lfe gewinnt?\u201c<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Der alte Cheroke antewortete:<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDer, den du f\u00fctterst.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Quelle unbekannt<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two wolves<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One evening an old Cheroke Indian told his grandson about a battle that rages in every humanbeing<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8221; My son the battle<\/p>\n<p>Is being fought by two wolves<\/p>\n<p>Residing in each of us.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One is evil<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is anger, envy, jealousy,<\/p>\n<p>The worries, pain, greed,<\/p>\n<p>The arrogance, self pity, guilt,<\/p>\n<p>Prejudice, feelings of inferiority,<\/p>\n<p>The lies, the false pride and ego.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The other is good<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is joy, peace, love,<\/p>\n<p>The hope, the serenity, humility,<\/p>\n<p>The kindness, benevolence, affection<\/p>\n<p>The generosity, sincerity,<\/p>\n<p>Compassion and faith&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The grandson thought for sometime about the<\/p>\n<p>words of his grandfather and asked:<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Which of the two wolves wins?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The one you feed &#8221; answered the grandfather<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I can only add that we ordinary mortals as well as dictators, including even those who are made to appear respectable by democracies in the West, can do something about our realities if we want.
